Convenient location, close to everything we wanted to do. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. We also liked that it was near a train station and next to Hoan Kiem Lake. 🌟

We were happy to find Bun bo Nam Bo 200 m away, where we could eat. It is right by the airport. Public parking was provided to the guests.

Hanoi Eclipse is definitely value for money. The hotel staff were kind and very helpfull. We booked a 3 day tour to Halong Bay in the the hotel. It wasn't what we expected. The Poseidon boot is great, but the second day we were dropped off on an island with some bungalows. When we arrived they want to give as a house of straw. Actually, we booked a big bungalow with a/C. The staff on the island called our hotel and after an hour it was fine, so we get the big wooden bungalow. We were not allowed to use the a/c because they said that we have a problem if we did. But we payed for it, so this was a big setback. When we were back in our hotel we were complaining about the tour. Normally the people in asia are like: "not my problem, you've already paid." But the manager of our hotel arranged a meeting with our tourguide so we could discuss the situation. We got many excuses and we got 20 dollars in refund. Also we got a free airport shuttle ($15), so that was nice! The breakfast normal, but good. We stayed in many places in Asia even in 5 star hotels and compared to those 5 star hotels in Asia the service level was the same! The last day the manager offered us to have lunch with her and her staff. At this moment we are in Hoi An and I received an e-mail from the hotel manager again with excuses for the tour and some things more! Good service!
There was one guy who was pushing us for bookings. We didn't like that. He was very nice, but we didn't like the pushing stuff. Of course in many places in Vietnam the people are acting like that. But if you are paying about 20 euros a night then it would be very annoying. But after 2 days he was gone and we told it to the hotel manager and she would say some of it to him. The stairs are a little bit smelly, but hotel rooms were great! We stayed on the second floor and the fourth floor, both rooms were very clean and comfortable!

The staff could not have been more helpful and spoke good English. When our independently booked boat trip to Halong Bay was cancelled they recommended an alternative which was excellent and followed up our visit with a personal email, appologising for a power cut we had had and wishing us a happy onward journey. The rooms were adequate but the bathroom clean and very modern. Breakfast was excellent!
The hallways and stairs were rather grubby - needed redecorating and recarpeting.

We stayed in Hanoi Eclipse Hotel twice during the planned trip in Vietnam and we would like to say that it was worth with our money. Our rooms were clean and nice. The balcony room in the front a little bit noisy but Hanoi is the hustle and bustle city,so it must be noisy, but in evening time,it was quite, that was enough for us.Breakfast was good and hotel staff were wonderful-so helpful and very polite.we booked sapa tour through the hotel and it run well.We had very good time in this hotel. We will recommend our friends if they have trip in Hanoi.Keep doing well!

Great location. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially when we arrived at the hotel at 5am asking for a room for half a day. We even got breakfast delivered to our room. We used this hotel as a base and they were more than happy to store our luggage.

The location was good and the staff were helpful. The room was of a good size and the bathroom was recently renovated. The transfer they organised for us to the airport early in the morning arrived promptly and was comfortable.
The noise in the rooms facing the street was very loud despite the hotel's claim they have doubleglazed windows. The carpet in the corridors was filthy and the general standard of cleanliness was only average.

I have stayed almost 3days. When I completed the reservation, they emailed me as a confirmation and they offer me the service to pick up from the airport(US15$). However, I could not meet the driver who the hotel prepared and I took a taxi to the airport. Actually, I really do not expect that they paid the money surprisingly. I was really amazed at this! After all, the hotel staffs are great!!
Nothing to say for me!

I spent two weeks travelling around Vietnam booking hotels all through Booked.net.Hanoi Eclipse surprised me by being the only hotel to acknowledge my reservation by email and also informing me of their airport pick up. Another small but very appreciative gesture after a swift check in was the offer of a free complimentary drink and plate of juicy water melon. I must confess that I had my concerns when approaching the hotel in the street, but never judge a book by its cover! The hotel may not have all the splendour of other 3 stars hotels I stayed at in Vietnam, but considering the room rate - this is definitely good value for money. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. Those worried with noise should request rooms at the back. However Hanoi is a noisy city, but providing you dont expect to be asleep at 8pm,the street's hum will disappear as the shops close in the evenings.
The only thing that worried me was the absence of a safety deposit box in the room

Great service from the staffs and very friendly. Also it's situated on central part of old quarters. The best is the street which hotel is situated will quiet so no worry about noise pollution.
The agent that the hotel use for Sapa tour was satisfactory only. Make sure that all details of the trip is well sorted out first before booking. Some info was left out on refreshment before departing fr sapa

Friendly staff.
Couldn't get internet access. Also, they lock the door until 7am so we couldn't go out for an early walk around town.

We have stayed in the hotel a couple of days ago. The hotel is ideally located in walking distance from all attractions. The staff was very very friendly, helped us with everything. We have booked with them trips to Sa Pa, Bac Ha and Halong. The prices they offered were very reasonable and we got what they said we will get. The staff advised us also in oue further journeys to other parts of Vietnam. We highly recommend this place to everyone.
We really have nothing to complain about.
